Resort Líšenský dvůr offers its guests a comfortably equipped wellness centre for your relaxation and regeneration. What applies to the hotel and its restaurant can also be said about the wellness centre: refined architectural design, top-class facilities and a connection with the surrounding nature and landscape.

Three saunas – Finnish, infrared and steam – with associated facilities, a whirlpool and a relaxation room with beds and a waterbed are at guests’ disposal. In summer, outdoor wooden sun loungers are available on the terrace. The wellness area also includes massage rooms with a hotel masseur.

Whether you’ve had an adrenaline-fuelled bike ride in the surrounding hills, a good hike, or a winter cross-country skiing trail or a day of downhill skiing – or if you just arrive at the hotel tired after a week of work – the saunas will flush out all the bad, mental stress or physical fatigue.

Finnish sauna

It represents the typical, most famous sauna – high temperature (typically 90 °C), wooden benches for sitting or lying down, alternating heat and cold in the cooling pool or cold showers. (Those who dare can cool off in a snowdrift in winter). Finnish sauna is recommended for boosting a person’s immune system, useful for respiratory problems.

Infrasauna

It is a relative novelty, popular with guests who want to “warm their bones” but do not like the very hot air and high humidity of a Finnish sauna. The warming temperature is similar to that of a Finnish sauna, but is achieved exclusively by infrared heaters that heat the bodies – in this case, human bodies – while the air remains at normal temperatures. The effects of the infrared sauna on the human body are then similar: stress relief, elimination of viruses and bacteria, relief for muscles and joints due to improved blood circulation, improved mental well-being.

Cooling pool

It is the most common way to cool down after a hearty sauna session and is designed to cool the body as part of a sauna treatment. The cooling rapidly constricts the capillaries dilated by the stay in the heater and helps to eliminate toxins and waste substances from the body. At the same time, blood circulation and massage of the internal organs is achieved. The method of use is individual for everyone (just like a stay in a sauna cabin) and it is necessary to use the pool with discretion.

Steam herbal sauna

Sauna bathing takes place in a warm steam mist (temperature 40-45 °C, water vapour saturation close to 100%), the warm mist is enriched with herbs with a pleasant aroma and facilitating breathing or coughing. The 100% saturation induces strong perspiration very quickly and thus the removal of pollutants from the body and skin, while staying at a comfortable temperature. Steam sauna helps with skin diseases, is also recommended for respiratory diseases, hardens the body and washes away stress as well as other types of saunas.

Whirlpool-hot tub

One of the most popular wellness facilities ever, a massage bath for four adults. A temperature close to human body temperature (35°C) means that your body is in a pleasantly warm environment, and the choice of massage jet programmes gives you a gentle or even more intense massage on the parts of your body you choose by how you set them against the jets. Of course, the hot tub is also loved by children, who literally have a blast in it, and adults can then use it to socialise in a therapeutic and relaxing environment.

Cedar steam barrels

What is the best thing about a cedar steam sauna? Because it’s shaped like a large barrel with a hole for your head, the heat is applied only to your body and you can breathe freely and chat with your counterpart. The temperature in the barrel can be set between 25-55°C, so it’s also suitable for children and more sensitive people who don’t mind a traditional sauna.

The beneficial effects of the phytosaunas are due not only to the herbal steam, but also to the cedar wood itself, which when heated releases essential oils that have both antiseptic and anti-stress properties. The steam bath ensures better blood circulation to the skin, muscles and internal organs, boosting metabolism and eliminating toxins from the body.

Massages

There are two massage rooms where our experienced masseurs perform massages from a wide range of options: traditional Swedish massage (rubbing and kneading), parts of the body to be massaged and the length of the massage can be determined.

Massages must be booked in advance by e-mail or phone.

Relaxation room

Saunas, whirlpools and massage are intensive parts of your relaxation and regeneration – to achieve the full effect, you also need to relax in peace, also because intensive equipment puts a lot of strain on your body. In the relaxation room, listening to calm meditative music, you can use the comfortable loungers – in summer also on the outdoor terrace – or you can literally immerse yourself in the so-called water bed with adjustable intensity of very gentle water massage. The relaxation room also always has plenty of liquids available, which you should not spare, as the saunas and massage require intensive hydration afterwards.

The wellness centre is available primarily for guests of the hotel Líšenský dvůr; however, it is also possible to rent it to other visitors by prior arrangement.

Admission to the wellness area for 2 hours: 600 CZK (including bathrobe, slippers and accompanying accessories).
